Submitting Test Credit from an IJS CompetitionU.S. FIGURE SKATING IJS PROTOCOL for TEST CREDIT – INFORMATION OVERVIEW In accordance with Rules 4100 and 4200-4202, athletes may receive credit for certain tests by meeting minimum scores at a competition held under the International Judge System (IJS). The athlete must “skate-up” to the event for which they are seeking test credit, in addition to having already passed any prerequisites prior to the competition event. USFS Rule 4201: In lieu of taking a singles, pair, partnered free dance or solo free dance test at the bronze, pre-silver, silver, pre-gold or gold levels, or an adult silver through adult senior singles test, at a test session, candidates may elect to submit their protocol from a U.S. Figure Skating sanctioned nonqualifying competition conducted under the IJS, where they have met the minimum passing scores as defined in rule 4202. Skaters must have met the prerequisites for the test by the date of the competition and must have competed in the applicable event at the level they are wishing to pass FOR RYE FSC HOME CLUB SKATERS YOU ACHIEVED THE MINIMUM SCORES FOR RECEIVING TEST CREDIT FOR A COMPETITION EVENT IN WHICH YOU “SKATED UP”. NOW WHAT DO YOU DO? STEP 1: At the competition, go to the registration/information desk and ask for a “Test Credit Packet” which includes the documents listed below. This MUST be requested on-site, and will not be available after the competition ends. Take a picture of all documents for safe-keeping. As a courtesy, ask the competition for the packet within one hour of your event ending. Documents needed / included in the Test Credit Packet: 1. A copy of the overall event results, that lists all of the skaters, in addition to the names of the Technical Controller and Event Referee. This is to prove the skater actually skated in the event. 2. Your individual protocol. 3. Your Test Credit Skater Report, generated by the accountant. This has your name, your scores and verifies you achieved a passing result. IMPORTANT: Before you leave the competition, check your packet and be sure you have ALL three of the correct documents. If you do not, please ask to speak with the competition chair to obtain them. STEP 2: Obtain a written statement from your coach verifying that the above documents are true and valid. Click here to obtain the form that your coach must complete. STEP 3: Take the following steps to submit your payment and upload the forms you obtained at the competition: • Go to your account on EntryEeze and click on the “Test Sessions” tab. • Proceed to Register for a Test • Select the IJS Protocol Submission • Complete the registration, upload your documents and pay the $30 fee Test fees are non-refundable.
